Operation Take Over released on iTunes
Ghetto Government's seminal album Operation Take Over has been officially released in Apple's iTunes store.
Dateline the Bowery, New York City.
Champaign is flowing at the offices of bowery.com as the Ghetto Goverment achieves a major milestone with the release of their seminal album Operation Take Over in the iTunes store.
"We are excited that a wider audience now has the chance to discover this album, which takes the listener on a journey from rage to elation and finally self-awareness." Says Marc Lindahl, GG's executive producer and founder of bowery.com, "we applaud Apple for including our small, underground label in with the big fish in the biggest pond on the internet. Now people really have a choice."
Like many independant efforts, the label has struggled with distribution, publicity, and all the things that big suitcases full of anonymous cash would bring if they only had it.
"There's a lot more music where that came from, so I hope people really enjoy it," says Nitty, founder of the Ghetto Government. Recently Nitty has been the executive producer of two mix CD's and is currently working on the second GG album.
